I'm growing increasingly more intrigued by Barack Obama's presidency. The subjects and the incidents that he has touched on so far in his first few weeks are impressive and I am anxious to see how the next four years pan out for not only the United States, but all the countries abroad. Our military spending is still growing, the budget allotted for security purposes is still astonishing, and there is talks already of more troops being deployed to Afghanistan yet again. Not to mention how utterly incapable the U.S economy is functioning right now - the rise of homelessness, unemployment, mass poverty is still pointing fingers at the morals behind capitalism. Slowly but surely, I hope, the mask of this system will slowly deteriorate and people will gain more insight on how truly unfair this fucking vicious style of democracy is to everyone. I'd like to write more later on this (really, I mean it this time). I've been actively reading the bcc.com "100 Days of Obama" blog being updated daily by different reuters and journalists.

I'll update soon with pictures from my birthday at Animal Acres in Acton with Kayla.
